34 Bamidbar: Day 6 (Friday) | Redeeming the Firstborn
28 Iyar 5786 AM | 1 AVE.
Blessed are You, LORD our God, King of the Universe, who has sanctified us by Your Spirit and invited the nations to share in the richness of Your Word. We thank You for the people and state of Israel, including the Messiah, our First Fruits, through whom the harvest of life has begun.
Today is the forty-first day of the Omer according to the minority Sadducean and Essene counts, which is 5 weeks and 6 days.
May the Spirit of Truth prepare my heart for the revelation of the 50th day.
6:51 AM.
Jonathan Writes:
Today's reading is Numbers 3:40-3:51.
This is the link to the Daily Chumash with Rashi at Chabad.
The Daily Wisdom from the Lubavitcher Rebbe is titled "Know Him in All Your Ways."

I tend to think President Herzog should not have retreated from giving the commencement address in person at JTS.
Emily Tamkin at The Forward has written an important piece, but I think she might be neglecting the broader reason for pro-Israel anger at biased coverage by the New York Times. Nor do I think Hamas data and State of Israel data are credibly comparable.
Shalom.
End 7:16 AM.
