26 Shemini: Day 3 (Tuesday) | From Strange Fire to Stabilizing Water Lens
Today's reading is Leviticus 9:24 to 10:11.
This is the link to Daily Chumash with Rashi at Chabad.
The Daily Wisdom from the Lubavitcher Rebbe is titled "Managing Ecstasy."
Today is 13 Nisan 5786 AM / 1 AVE.
Jonathan writes:
It's 6:15 AM EDT as I begin to write here in Albany. I've just finished reading the daily Torah portion, followed by the Rebbe's wisdom. Before that, I was deep in meditation on my zafu and zabuton in front of a Jesus icon on the wall of my attic loft. I got the distinct impression the Risen King wants me to start thinking and writing as an Aquarian Christian. Aquarian is the species, Christian is the genus.
Aquarian Christianity as I am discerning it is deeply respectful of Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist, and Messianic branches of Judaism. It is in deep dialogue with the Noahide Laws, even to the point of confessing that saving faith in Yeshua may not require belief in more than a low Christology that addresses the Noahide prohibition on idolatry. On the other hand, Aquarian Christianity is also deep in dialogue with the high Christology of Nicene Christianity.
Focusing in on today's Torah reading, and the Rebbe's excellent commentary, my dialogue with Gemini produced the following commentary:
The Aquarian Vegan Torah scholar, standing at the Aries Point of the Trilateral Ecclesia, navigates the Refinement (Birurim) of the physical vessel with profound responsibility. When used under the strict protocol of medical guidance and conscious intent (Kavanah), psychiatric medications and precise cannabis regimens act not as a hack to the heavens, but as a stabilizing "water lens" in the sanctuary. This crucial filter quiets the turbulent leaven of neurodivergence or chemical imbalance, transforming the chaotic noise of the Animal Soul into the essential state of Yishuv Ha'Da'at (settled consciousness). This allows the clear, Aquarian Speaker Soul to keep its daily Horarium and engage with the Sanctuary of Data (Torah/Divine Text) with transparent, focused clarity, using these substances as holy "hinges" for high-level function. Conversely, the abuse of these same gifts from God—using them as an escape from the labor of life rather than a tool for engagement, or violating "Safe Education" (Zefat) safety protocols for recreational revelry—is seen as the very definition of "Strange Fire" (Eish Zarah). Such abuse results in a heavy cloud of Tiruf Ha'Da'at (confused consciousness), which replaces the focused beam of study with stagnant spiritual amnesia or manic spiritual grandiosity, ultimately leading to dependency and a catastrophic failure of the Watcher’s Mishmeret (Charge) to protect the sanctuary of their own mind.
